Dr. Kevin Grold
Founder and president.
Dr. Kevin Grold has over 15 years experience directing the congressionally awarded Mental Health Referral Service of southern California. He has become widely recognized as the result of articles in the London Times, the Los Angeles Times, People Magazine, the National Psychologist, the California Psychologist, the Psychiatric Times, Practice Management Monthly, Headline News, and many others. He has been quoted several times in Dear Abby's column. Dr. Grold graduated with honors from the University of California at Santa Barbara and then received his graduate training from the Professional School of Psychological Studies in San Diego. Dr. Grold took over the Mental Health Referral Service when his father, who began the service in West Los Angeles, retired. Dr. Kevin Grold renamed it the 1-800-THERAPIST NETWORK and developed it into a major international business.
Franz Krachtus
Founder and director of business development
Franz Krachtus was the co-founder of Hollywood Pixels, Inc., a company specializing in wireless and online entertainment and communication. In 2000 he started Textgram, a proprietary wireless messaging technology and service, and was once honored as one of Entrepreneur Magazine's Top 40 Under 40 Entrepreneurs for his invention and marketing of a new type of greeting card. He has extensive experience and success as animator, designer, nationally syndicated cartoonist, and documentary filmmaker.
Christine Hartline, M.A.
Membership Director
Christine has her Masters Degree in Clinical Psychology from California State University Northridge. She has been working in the mental health field for 14 years. Christine is the founder and director of the Eating Disorder Referral and Information Center Edreferral.com, in addition to serving as the membership coordinator for 1-800-THERAPIST She is the former administrator of the Monte Nido Treatment Center in Malibu, CA. She was also the Director of Utilization Review at Steps/Anacapa by the Sea Hospital. Christine is currently fighting for mental health parity laws to make sure treatment is accessible to all those who need it.
Dr. L. James Grold
Advisory board and psychiatric consultant
Dr. L. James Grold is on the board of directors for ADDRferral, He received a Bachelors Degree in biology from Stanford and an MD at that university. He was appointed by USC as an assistant clinical professor to teach medical students and psychiatric residents. Dr. L. James Grold was elected to be a Life Fellow in the Amer. Psych Assoc. and also a Fellow in the Amer. Board of Forensic Psychiatry. He is the medical director and psychiatric consultant for 1-800-Therapist, and served as the medical director of two psychiatric hospitals.
